We had dinner with family at 5.30 pm sitting. The restaurant is nice and feels homely we sat inside up on the raised level. The staff were all friendly our location proved a bit tricky to get waitresses attention to order more drinks but the owners were lovely people. The food was nice average size portions we had the whipped fetta dip, octopus tentacle grilled, lamb shoulder, grilled fish with Greek slaw, spanakopita (was a bit salty for our taste). Overall we enjoyed our night out and would recommend the Taverna .

So my wife and I found this place when we were south of the Gold Coast doing a day trip. We drove back down on the Sunday cause they did a $45 Greek banquet per person which consisted of 3 small plates of the chefs choice and then 1 large plate which was Lamb Shoulder with roasted potatos and a Greek salad. The dishes were well presented and tasted great. It was a cute type of restaurant and it gets packed very quickly so make sure you make a booking. We got there on opening which is 5:30pm. All in all it was a great little experience which is only 35min south of the gold coast.

Great restaurant. They have a smart policy of only allowing large groups to order off a set menu - which means you get all your food in a timely manner, and you share it with everyone. There was more than enough food for everyone. In fact, there was so much food that we had to take away most of the mains because we couldn't finish! ☺️ I especially liked the halloumi cheese with honey and the scallops.

Such a pleasurable experience - we were treated to a Greek feast! Situated in the beautiful coastal area of Kingscliff, Taverna serves fusion-Greek food which perfectly complements the ambiance of the Australian coast. The food was fresh and deliciously put together. The Byron Bay haloumi, pan seared scallop, and the pork and beef keftedes were the highlights of the dinner! An absolute treat! I highly recommend Taverna when you find yourself in Kingscliff.

Bit late on my review but last Friday was such an amazing experience. We were greeted warmly, seated early, provided amazing service and recommendations from our waitress. The “fireball whisky sour” was all the holidays mashed into a drink and I loved it. If they recommend how many plates you should order, please take note! She was able to guess it to the plate and I didn’t believe her and ordered an extra plate 😂 Lamb was moist and so tender. Coming back very soon!

Very quaint and pleasant inside. Attentive and friendly service. Delicious food. The dishes were not fancy, but well made with on point flavours and balance.

Would highly recommend this place. We ordered the banquet and the food was excellent, you could just tell it was made with really high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is lovely and the setting both inside and out is really beautiful. The service was incredible and we felt very well looked after. Even the amenities were fantastic. This was a really special experience and would definitely recommend for a date night especially.

Just made for a long lunch, or a fun night out. Taverna has the best cocktails and wine selection in town and food to match. The super service is just the icing on the cake. Wish it was my neighbourhood restaurant.
